Minneapolis Speaker Announcement: Joy Eggerichs Reed

Our Minneapolis one-day conference is less than 2 months away and we couldn’t be more excited! When we got the little nudge to step away from one large conference and host a few smaller one-day conference throughout the year, our dream was to move this event all over the country. We want to meet the women of the Influence Network right where they are so it’s easier on your time, your wallet, your resources, and your families. We never want to limit what our members are able to experience, and we want to bring our community to your community!

We’ve already announced that Rach Kincaid, Moriah Sunde, Gina Zeidler, and Retha Morgan will be speaking on August 6, and we’re extra thrilled to finally be able to announce one more speaker!

Joy Eggerichs Reed will be joining us in Minneapolis and bringing her wit and years of wisdom to share with you all!

Joy Eggerichs Reed served as the Director of Love and Respect Now from 2008-2015. She began her journey coordinating the Love and Respect marriage conferences for her parents, Dr. Emerson and Sarah Eggerichs. Over time, she noticed a trend: people would come out of the conference sessions saying, “Why didn’t anyone teach us this before we got married? If only I knew then, what I know now.”

Fueled by a passion to provide this information to her generation, Joy launched a website filled with humorous videos and relationship advice based on the Love and Respect principles. It was appropriately titled “Love and Respect Now.”

In 2014, Christianity Today named Joy one of 33 leaders under the age of 33 shaping the next generation.

Today, Joy resides in Portland, Oregon with her new husband Matt and their even newer garden that she obsesses over. She is currently working as a part time literary and speaking agent but dabbles in several projects to keep her creative juices flowing. She is a member of the Relevant magazine podcast, she loves to interview people, host events and make weird videos on snapchat and instagram. Ironically, standing on a stage speaking to 12,000 people is less nerve racking for her than speaking to a group of five. Taking improv classes changed her life and she would recommend it to anyone. Living in Portland, she likes to think of herself as a coffee snob and an avid biker except for the fact that she likes McDonalds coffee and she hasn’t been on a real bike ride in a year.

We can’t wait to introduce Joy to the women of the Influence Network, and we’d love to see you in Minneapolis on August 6!
